EXT. SHOT OF THE CRYSTALS OF DESTINY

LOBO (V.O.)
The eight Crystals of Destiny, the basic elements of time
and space. The very keys to all creation.

EXT. SHOT OF THE GALAXY

LOBO (V.O.)
Used wisely they were a benefit to people throughout the
Universe. However, in the wrong hands, they could give to
a person limitless, godlike power.

1. INT. GUARDIAN COUNCIL ROOM – BLACK AND WHITE

We see eight men and women standing in a semi-circle, each holding a Crystal of Destiny.

LOBO (V.O.)
To prevent the abuse of the Crystals, the gods divided them
amongst eight heroes who swore an oath to keep them separate
and safe. These heroes were called Guardians.

EXT. SHOT OF PLANETS

LOBO (V.O.)
For thousands of years the Guardians governed the Universe,
and peace and justice prevailed.

2. INT. GUARDIAN COUNCIL ROOM – BLACK AND WHITE SEQUENCE

We see a Guardian remove his hood, ADRAYEN.

LOBO (V.O.)
But the balance soon shifted, as greed corrupted the heart
of a Guardian turned sorcerer named Adrayen.

3. INT. GUARDIAN COUNCIL ROOM

We see Adrayen, sword drawn, battling another Guardian, KAYLOR.

 LOBO (V.O.)
Adrayen rallied a band of supporters, and attempted to seize
the other Crystals of Destiny for himself.

We see Adrayen struck down by Kaylor.

LOBO (V.O.)
Just before achieving his goal, he was defeated and
killed by Kaylor, the foremost of the Guardians.

We see Adrayen lying dead on the floor.

LOBO (V.O.)
The threat Adrayen posed, had seemingly passed.

4. EXT. SHOT OF EVIL CRYSTAL BALL

LOBO (V.O.)
But the Guardians underestimated their enemy. As Adrayen’s
ambition grew, he had become a master of the dark arts, and
thus was able to anchor his spirit to the mortal realm in
defiance of death.

5. EXT. GUARDIAN COUNCIL ROOM

We see a large armored figure approach a Guardian.

LOBO (V.O.)
Years passed and mysterious deaths began to claim the
Guardians one by one. It was not long before it was realized
that Adrayen had returned.

6. EXT. FOREST-DAY

We see mutants chasing a Guardian through the forest.

LOBO (V.O.)
With the acquisition of each Crystal, Adrayen’s power grew.

We see Adrayen approach and slaughter the Guardian.

LOBO (V.O.)
The remaining Guardians were forced into hiding, allowing Adrayen
to arise as the dominant power in the Universe.

7. EXT. CAVE

We see Kaylor look into his crystal.

LOBO (V.O.)
In the depths of despair, Kaylor, who once led the Guardians
in their days of glory, used his Crystal of Destiny to look down
the vista of the future.

CLOSE UP – KAYLOR’S EYES

LOBO (V.O.)
He saw a time when there would arise one Guardian to
turn the tide of the war in its darkest hour. His vision
became known as Kaylor’s Prophecy.

8. EXT. MOUNTAINS- DAY

We see a hooded and cloaked Kaylor hand his Crystal to another man.

LOBO (V.O.)
To hide the Crystals of Destiny, the remaining Guardians
chose successors, and passed on their Guardianships. This
practice continued for hundreds of years, delaying the
realization of Adrayen’s goal.

9. EXT. – PLAIN -DAY

We see a man holding a crystal, LOBO.

LOBO (V.O.)
At last Adrayen succeeded in obtaining six of the
eight Crystals. The remaining two were held by
Guardians named Lobo,

Lobo chose a successor before he died, one whom he
believed was destined to fulfill Kaylor’s Prophecy.

We see from a distance a young man standing, holding a sword.

LOBO (V.O.)
His name was Thomas.

seeks the aid of the elusive Drake, in the hopes of raising an
army and making one last stand against Adrayen.

12. EXT. GRAVE YARD – DUSK

We see Thomas, Bruno, the Druid, and the Green Dude walking cautiously around grave markers.

BRUNO
Thomas my feet hurt.

THOMAS
Then put your shoes back on Bruno, and stop walking through
those thorn bushes.

We see Bruno’s feet swollen, and bleeding.

BRUNO
Druid said it was good luck.

DRUID
That doesn’t sound like something I would say.

The Druid shrugs. Thomas stops, and turns back. Bruno plops down on the ground, and begins nursing
his sore feet.

THOMAS
If you can’t be productive, will you at least try
not to be counter productive?

DRUID
I guess I could try.

We see the Green Dude walk up. He is tied to several pieces of luggage, and is dragging them with great
effort.

GREEN DUDE
(Frustrated mumble)

Thomas looks at the Druid.

THOMAS
Are you making him carry your things?

DRUID
He practically begged me to let him.

We see the Green Dude drop the luggage.

GREEN DUDE
(Angry mumble)

Thomas inspects the bags, and tries to lift a satchel. He strains.

THOMAS
What do you have in here anywhere?

Druid nervously chuckles.

DRUID
Only the necessities.

Thomas turns the bag over, and dumps its contents. We see several large rocks fall to the ground.

THOMAS
There’s three bags of this!

DRUID
Well…I…uh..

Thomas scowls at the Druid, and then drops the bag. He takes several steps away from the group, and
stares at the sky. We see the Druid check to see if Thomas is watching him. He then kneels and begins to
re-load his bag with rocks. Bruno points to a grave marker.

BRUNO
What are these?

DRUID
Graves.

BRUNO
(Whimpers)
You mean like, dead people?

Druid stands, and nods.

BRUNO
Do you think they know we’re here?

DRUID
Don’t be a girl Bruno. You know there’s no such thing
as zombies.

Green Dude shakes his head.

GREEN DUDE
(Mumbles disapprovingly)

Druid walks over to stand next to Thomas.

DRUID
What is it?

Thomas points.

THOMAS
Storm’s coming. We gotta find shelter.

DRUID
Nah. It never rains in these parts.

13. EXT. PLAINS – NIGHT- RAINING

We see the party completely, sopping wet, standing under a tree. Druid hugs himself for warmth. Bruno
tries to catch rain drops with his tongue. Thomas stares at the Druid. Bruno releases a powerful sneeze
that sprays the back of the Druid’s head. Druid grimaces. We see Thomas survey the horizon. He looks
away, and then does a double take. Bruno points.

BRUNO
A house!

We see a large and beautiful house.

THOMAS
(Unsure)
Where did that come from?

DRUID
Who cares!

The Druid grabs his satchel, and begins running toward the house. The others follow. After they enter the
house, we see lightning light up the sky, and briefly reveal the true nature of the house, as a dilapidated,
dying structure.

14. INT. HOUSE - FOYER

The party enters the foyer of the house, and sets their things on the floor. Thomas shuts the door behind
them. We see the door slowly lock itself. Bruno shakes the water off of himself. We see that the inside of
the house is large and beautiful.

THOMAS
Hello?

The party awaits a response.

THOMAS
Anyone here?

The house remains quiet.

THOMAS
I guess we should settle down for the night.

Druid, Bruno, and the Green Dude begin to wander off.  Thomas slumps down against a wall, and sighs.
He pulls the Crystal of Destiny from his pocket, and stares into it.

THOMAS
Where can I find Drake?

A soft light emanates from the Crystal. CLOSE UP – THOMAS’S EYES

We see Bruno enter the dinning room. We see a table crowded with all kinds of delicious food.

BRUNO
Ohhh baby!

Bruno runs to the table, and begins to wildly gorge himself. In the process he grabs a candle, and bites it.
He tosses it away, and continues eating.

18. INT. HOUSE – HALL

We see the Green Dude walking past a large painting of a man. The man’s eyes follow him. The Green
Dude stops, and examines the painting.

GREEN DUDE
(Curious mumble)

The Green Dude shakes his head and continues down the hall.

19. INT. HOUSE – HALL

We see the Druid walk by a large mirror. He stops, and stares at himself. He runs his hand through his
hair, flexes his muscles, and smiles.

DRUID
Hey gorgeous. How you doin?

Druid blows a kiss to himself, and winks. Suddenly we see a ghost appear behind him with his reflection.
The Druid yelps, and spins around. We see nothing behind him. The Druid nervously glances around
himself, and then looks back into the mirror. He breaths a sigh of relief.

DRUID
It’s cool. It’s cool.

20. INT. HOUSE – FOYER

Thomas sits against the wall, nodding off. Suddenly something moves in front of him, and awakes him.
Thomas looks up, and sees a woman dressed in a wedding dress walking through the foyer. He slowly
stands.

THOMAS
Hello?

The woman turns, and we see that she looks like a rotting corpse. Thomas stumbles back, and we see the
woman disappear.

21. INT. HOUSE – KITCHEN

We see Bruno uncontrollably eating. He reaches his hand into a bowl of noodles. When he moves to put
them into his mouth, we see that the noodles have become live worms. Bruno screams, and drops the
worms. We see that the food on the table looks rotted. Bruno covers his mouth, and tries not to vomit.
Suddenly a few ghosts enter the room.

GHOSTS
(In unison)
Get out.

Bruno whimpers in fear.

GHOSTS
(Louder)
Get out!

Bruno backs towards the door.

GHOSTS
GET OUT!!!

Bruno screams, and runs out of the kitchen.

22. INT. HOUSE-FOYER

Thomas cautiously walks through the foyer. Suddenly Bruno, Druid, and the Green Dude run into the foyer
screaming, and shouting simultaneously.

BRUNO
Thomas! Ghosts!

DRUID
This place is haunted!

GREEN DUDE
(Frightened mumble)

Thomas turns and begins to run for the front door.

THOMAS
Come on!

Thomas reaches the door, and seconds later he is joined by the rest of the party. Thomas tries to open
the door, but it is locked.

DRUID
We’re trapped!

We suddenly hear echoing laughter. The party looks around to see where the voice is coming from.

HOUSE
(Laughing)
There is no escape.

Thomas turns away from the door, and looks toward the ceiling.

THOMAS
(Shouts)
What are you?!

HOUSE
I am the House of Lost Souls. Anyone who enters here
can never leave.

Suddenly we see several ghosts appear, and advance on the party.

GHOSTS
(In unison)
Come with us.

The ghosts continue to chant “come with us” as they encircle the party. Thomas pulls out the Crystal of
Destiny, and holds it in front of him. It begins to shine. The ghosts stop. Thomas takes a step toward the
ghosts and they back away. The ghosts try again to advance, but Thomas continues to ward them off.

THOMAS
Be gone!
Suddenly the ghosts disappear.

HOUSE
(Angry)
Who are you?!

Thomas raises the crystal above his head.

THOMAS
I am the Guardian of a Crystal of Destiny, and I demand
you release us, or I will destroy you.

The house laughs.

HOUSE
(Laughing)
You have no power over me.

THOMAS
Nor you over me!

Suddenly the front door of the house flings open.

HOUSE
Then leave, Guardian!

Thomas turns to leave.

HOUSE
But they belong to me.

We see Bruno, Druid, and the Green Dude. The house breaks into hideous laughter.

THOMAS
I won’t leave them!

HOUSE
Hmmm…interesting.

There is a silence. Druid, and Bruno look anxiously at Thomas.

THOMAS
Well?! Will you release them?!

HOUSE
I propose a bargain, Guardian of the crystal. I will put to
you a riddle. Each of you may guess once. If any of you
find the answer before the time expires you may go free.

We see an hour glass appear nearby.

HOUSE
However, if you fail, you and your friends will walk
my halls forever. And your crystal will be mine!

Thomas looks thoughtful.

HOUSE
Remember Guardian, if you swear upon your crystal
you are bound to your word.

Thomas glances at Bruno.

THOMAS
I swear.

The house breaks again into laughter, and the front door shuts.

HOUSE
Very well. Answer me this riddle. “With no wings,
I fly. With no…”

BRUNO
(Interrupts)
Chicken!

HOUSE
(Sighs)
You have three guesses left. And the rest of you would
be wise to allow me to first pose the riddle before
attempting to answer.

The Druid smacks Bruno in the back of the head.

HOUSE
“With no wings, I fly.
With no eyes, I see.
With no arms, I climb.
More frightening than any beast,
stronger than any foe.
I am cunning, ruthless, and tall.
In the end, I rule all.” What am I?

We see the hour glass start to run. We see the Druid thinking.

DRUID
I’ve got it! On the dark visdra of the nightmare cow, a
Haluminim crosses a jar of butter with a never ending,
shaded, razor duck.

Thomas looks embarrassed.

HOUSE
I don’t even know that means. Two down, two to go.

We see the sands running out in the hour glass. The Green Dude gets excited and steps forward.

GREEN DUDE
(Repeatedly mumbles the answer.)

HOUSE
(Hesitates)
Uh…. No. I’m going to have to count that as a no. You
have one more guess, and time is running out.

Thomas looks thoughtful. We see the sand almost running out of the hour glass. The house begins to
laugh. Thomas concentrates harder. We see the hour glass almost run out of sand.

THOMAS
Imagination! The answer is imagination!

GREEN DUDE
(Indignant mumble)

SUBTITLE – “That’s exactly what I said!”

HOUSE
(Angry)
What?!

THOMAS
You heard me! Imagination! Now let us go!

The house begins to howl in rage, and shake. We see the front door open.

HOUSE
GET OUT!!!

Thomas glances at the others, and they run out of the house.

23. EXT. PLAINS – NIGHT

We hear the house continue to scream as they run into the night. We hear the screaming fade.

DRUID
Our supplies!

THOMAS
Lobo’s sword!

The party stops, and turns around. They see that the house has vanished. Thomas sighs.

24. EXT. MARSH – DAY

We see the party trudging through mud. They are bereft of weapons and supplies

25. EXT. PLAINS – NIGHT

We see the party traveling. They are dirty, and look exhausted.

26. EXT. FOREST – DAY

We see the party slowly walking in single file.

27. EXT. SAGE BRUSH DESERT- DAY

The party walk toward a ruined building in the distance. Thomas looks back, and sees Bruno lying on the
ground. The Druid is on his knees crawling, and the Green Dude is also lying on the ground. He takes a
few clumsy steps, and then falls to his knees.

THOMAS
(Whispers)
Lobo….help…

Thomas falls face first onto the ground. We see a wide shot of the party lying on the ground, completely
exhausted.

FADE OUT

28. FADE IN:

THROUGH THOMAS’S EYES

We see two monks leaning over Thomas, administering to him.

THOMAS
Where..?

29. INT. ABANDONED FORTRESS – DAY

We see Thomas sit up. We see two monks standing near Thomas. One of the monks hands Thomas a
skin of water. Thomas hesitates, and then eagerly drinks the water.

THOMAS
Thanks.

He gives back the empty skin, and wipes his mouth.

THOMAS
Where am I?

We see the monks look at each other, and continue to mill about the room. Thomas looks confused. He
stands.

THOMAS
Um…excuse me?

We see the monks glance back at Thomas, and then resume their tasks.

THOMAS
Do you understand me?

CYRUS (V.O.)
They won’t speak to you.

We see a middle aged man dressed in a brown robe enter the room. CYRUS

CYRUS
They have taken a 6 month vow of silence.

We hear the two monks whisper to each other. Cyrus turns and scowls at the monks, who quickly fall silent.

THOMAS
Who are you?

CYRUS
My name is Cyrus, and I am Chief Steward of the
Brotherhood of Taeo. We are an order of monks devoted
to promoting peace and knowledge amongst all people.

THOMAS
I guess I owe you my thanks.

Thomas glances around.

THOMAS
Where are my friends?

CYRUS
They are all fine. I’ll take you to them.

Cyrus beckons.

CYRUS
Follow me.

Thomas follows Cyrus.

30. INT. ABANDONED FORTRESS – DAY

Thomas catches up to Cyrus, and walks with him.

THOMAS
What is this place?

CYRUS
This is all that is left of the once great fortress of
Tyra-Jir. It was the last stronghold for those who
opposed Adrayen’s rule. You know, Thomas, you
are the first Guardian to enter these walls in over
a hundred years.

Thomas stops.

THOMAS
How do you know who I am?!

Cyrus stops and turns.

CYRUS
Word of your deeds has spread like wildfire, Thomas.
You are sought by both friend and foe.

THOMAS
And which are you?

Cyrus laughs, and continues walking. Thomas follows.

CYRUS
We are not your enemies. The Brotherhood of Taeo,
have long been allies to the Guardians. For this
Adrayen has deemed us outlaws, which is why we
hide here.

Cyrus, and Thomas enter a larger area.

31. INT. ABANDONED FORTRESS – LARGER AREA

We see Bruno and the Green Dude look excited as they see Thomas.

BRUNO
Thomas!

Bruno rushes over to Thomas and hugs him. Thomas smiles.

GREEN DUDE
(Excited mumble.)

Green Dude nuzzles Thomas.  Thomas looks around.

THOMAS
Where’s the Druid?

Bruno gets excited and points.

BRUNO
I see him! He’s hiding over there!

We see the Druid hiding behind a wall, sulking. He reluctantly walks over to join the group. He has a hard
time trying to maintain eye contact with Cyrus.

DRUID
Hi Dad.

We see Thomas, and Bruno look surprised.

CYRUS
It’s been a long time, son.

THOMAS
He’s your son?!

CYRUS
Fate, it seems that he was to join with you and return
to me here. Do you not agree, Edwin?

Bruno points at the Druid.

BRUNO
(Laughs)
Edwin? Your name is Edwin?

Druid motions for Bruno to shut up.

DRUID
Shhhh!

CYRUS
You never told them your name? (Sighs) Why does
that not surprise me?

THOMAS
He’s a monk promoting peace, and selflessness?

CYRUS
Alas, not anymore. He was expelled from the order
years ago, for….uh…...conduct…….that was….
detrimental to our cause.

The Druid looks ashamed.

DRUID
Look, I said I was sorry, and a small part of me
actually meant it.

Cyrus shakes his head.

CYRUS
Son, you have dishonored our clan. You have well earned
the black robe of shame that you now wear.

DRUID
But I’m your only son! Couldn’t you have looked the
other way?

CYRUS
We did! Dozens of times. You failed every test. Even
your six month vow of silence lasted twenty minutes!

Cyrus sighs.

CYRUS
However, circumstances evidence that we were destined
to meet again.

The Druid lowers his head, and nods.

THOMAS
Cyrus, you said that the Brotherhood of Taeo are the allies
of the Guardians, true?

CYRUS
(Nods)
It has been so for ages.

THOMAS
Then can you tell me how I can find Drake?

Cyrus shakes his head.

CYRUS
We lost contact with Drake almost ten years ago.

Thomas looks frustrated. Bruno walks over to the Druid.

BRUNO
So you’re a peace loving monk huh? That means
you can’t hit me back.

Bruno repeatedly hits the Druid in the arm. The camera switches again to Thomas. We hear a loud smack.

BRUNO
Owwwww!

We see Bruno stumble by in the back ground, holding his eye.

THOMAS
Maybe we weren’t meant to find Drake here. But we
were meant to find you. Will the Brotherhood of Taeo
help us fight Adrayen?

Cyrus shakes his head.

CYRUS
We are peaceful healers, not warriors.  I am sorry.

Thomas looks discouraged.

CYRUS
Do not despair, Thomas. We may not be the army you
have been seeking, but there are other ways we can aid
you in your quest.

32. INT. ABANDONED FORTRESS - STORAGE

We see Bruno, Thomas, and the Druid dressed in new clothes. They examine their new outfits, and look
pleased. Two monks enter the room with a satchel for Thomas, Bruno, and the Druid.

CYRUS
These provisions should last you several weeks.

We see Bruno wildly eating his supply of food, and other provisions. Thomas looks at Bruno
disapprovingly, and slaps his hand. Bruno stops eating.

CYRUS
You will also need weapons.

We see the two monks holding weapons. One has a battle axe, the other holds a naginata and a flail. The
first monk presents the battle axe to Bruno. We see Bruno maniacally caress the axe’s blade, but his joy is
interrupted when he cuts his finger.

BRUNO
Owwww!

Bruno whimpers as he sucks his finger. We see the second monk hand the naginata to the Druid.

DRUID
Ohhh yeah. That’s what I’m talking about!

We see the second monk present the flail to the Green Dude, who is unable to accept or use the weapon.
There is an awkward pause. The monk glances at Cyrus in uncertainty. We see Cyrus shrug. The monk
takes the flail back, and pats the Green Dude on the head.

GREEN DUDE
(Sad mumble)

CYRUS
And for you Thomas, a very special weapon.

We see a monk hand Cyrus a bundled object. Cyrus takes the bundled object, and carefully unwraps it.
We see a beautiful sword. Thomas looks impressed.

CYRUS
This was the sword of Kaylor himself. The Brotherhood
recovered it after his death, and it has since been in our
keeping. May it serve you well.

Cyrus hands Thomas Kaylor’s sword. Thomas examines the weapon. He looks pleased.  Cyrus leans
forward and whispers in Thomas’s ear.

CYRUS
(Whispers)
This blade is extremely valuable. Do not let the
others touch it.

We see Bruno licking the blade of his axe. His cuts his tongue, and holds his mouth in pain.

CYRUS
Your best chance to discover the whereabouts of Drake,
will be at a place called the Crossroads.

THOMAS
Crossroads?

CYRUS
It is a place where many portals connect, bringing together
people and items from all across the Universe. The Crossroads
is an inter-dimensional terminal rife with all kinds of travelers
both benign and malignant.

Bruno scratches his head.

BRUNO
Ma-lig-nant?

DRUID
You know, unwholesome.

BRUNO
Un-whole-so….

DRUID
(Interrupts)
Bad, Bruno! It means bad.

CYRUS
Stay alert, and do not expect welcome.

Thomas looks uncertain. Cyrus puts his hand on Thomas’s shoulder.

CYRUS
You musn’t doubt yourself, Thomas. I knew Lobo,
and he had a gift for seeing the full potential in others.
He chose you to be a Guardian, because he knew you
were worthy of the task. I trust his judgment, and so
should you.

Thomas nods. Cyrus smiles, and walks over to the Green Dude. Green Dude lowers his head.

CYRUS
You will yet find your place, and play an important
part before this is over.

Green Dude looks up. Cyrus walks over to Bruno.

CYRUS
Bruno…

Cyrus pauses to think.

CYRUS
Just don’t hurt yourself. Ok?

Bruno nods. Cyrus stands in front of the Druid. The Druid looks anxious. Cyrus shakes his head, sighs,
and turns to walk away.

DRUID
Wait? Don’t you have anything to say to me?

Cyrus keeps his back to the Druid.

CYRUS
Come here, son.

Druid walks over to Cyrus. Cyrus puts his arms behind himself, and stares straight ahead.

CYRUS
True happiness lies in forgetting yourself in the service
of others. When you learn what that means, you will
be welcomed back into the Brotherhood.

The Druid looks thoughtful. Cyrus walks away from the Druid, and turns to face the party.

CYRUS
It is time.

33. EXT. ABANDONED FORTRESS - DAY

We see the party walking away from the fortress. They turn to look back. We see Cyrus and two monks
waving goodbye.

MONK#1
See ya guys!

Cyrus and Monk#2 turn to look at Monk#1. Monk#1 looks shocked, and places his hand over his mouth.
We see the party continue to walk away from the fortress. Thomas turns to the Druid.

THOMAS
So what did you do to get kicked out anyway?

The Druid looks thoughtful.

34. EXT. FOREST – DAY – BLACK AND WHITE

We see several monks sitting in a circle, meditating with their eyes closed. We see the Druid open his
eyes, and sneak a drink from a flask.

35. EXT. ROAD – DAY – BLACK AND WHITE

We see a blind man holding a tin cup marked “DONATIONS.” The Druid walks by, sticks his hand into the
cup, and steals the money.

36. EXT. ALLEY – DAY – BLACK AND WHTIE

We see the Druid sitting on the ground next to two rough looking characters. The Druid has a pipe in his
mouth. He drops some coins onto a pile of coins on the ground. One of the ruffians tosses a pair of dice.
The Druid cheers, and claims the pile of gold coins.

37. EXT. FOREST – DAY – BLACK AND WHITE

We see the Druid trip another monk as he walks by. The Druid points and laughs.

38. EXT. ABANDONED FORTRESS – DAY

The Druid looks thoughtful.

DRUID
(Scoffs)
Nothing.

39. EXT. CROSSROADS – BAR – DAY

We see the party walking. They are hooded. We see a passed out drunk wearing a sombrero, sitting
against the wall of the bar. Thomas stops, and turns to the others.

THOMAS
Remember, whatever you do, keep a low profile. Do
NOT draw attention to yourselves. Got it?

DRUID
Hey I’m not the one we gotta worry about. Remember
that one time Bruno was captured by forest druids, and
you tried to save him by pretending to be one of them?
What were you thinking? Talk about stupid.

THOMAS
That was you!

DRUID
Look, it doesn’t matter who it was. The point is we
gotta keep a low profile!

THOMAS
You…

Thomas looks frustrated, and waves his hand.

THOMAS
Whatever. Let’s go.

40. INT – CROSSROADS BAR

The party enters the bar. We see that it is a dirty, and rowdy place. All kinds of riffraff drink, gamble, and
brawl. We see several depressed characters sitting at the bar, drinking. We see a bartender pouring
drinks, occasionally drinking from the bottle, and burping. Thomas gives one last look at his friends.

THOMAS
Remember. Low profile.

Bruno and the Druid nod, and the party splits up. Bruno walks up to a table with a steaming cauldron. We
see a witch stirring the brew. Standing near her are a few forest druids. Bruno looks into the cauldron, and
sniffs.

BRUNO
Mmmm. Smells good. Whatcha got in there?

WITCH
(Cackles)
Try some.

The Witch extends a ladle to Bruno.

BRUNO
Don’t mind if I do.

Bruno takes the spoon, and dips into the brew. Just as he brings it up to his lips, someone pushes passed
him, causing him to spill the liquid. It bursts into flames as it hits the table.

BRUNO
Oops.

We see Bruno again dip the spoon in the brew, but before he drinks, he sees something that causes him
to turn and look away.

BRUNO
Ooh! Shiny!

Bruno drops the spoon and walks away. We see the Witch look disappointed.  We see the Druid walk up to
the bar. He sits next to a woman. He licks his hand, and slicks back his hair. He smiles at the woman who
looks completely disinterested.

DRUID
So, uh? Buy me a drink?

The woman looks disgusted, and tries to ignore the Druid.

DRUID
You know I’m a king, right?

WOMAN
Uh huh.

DRUID
Yeah, once in a while it’s good to get out of the palace,
and mingle with you commoners.

The Druid leans closer to the woman.

DRUID
Let’s say you and I head out for a night on the town?

The Druid clicks his tongue and points at the woman.

WOMAN
(Disgusted)
Listen, I don’t date freaks.

We see the woman turn away from the Druid. She sees someone off camera and looks excited.

WOMAN
Ooh. Hello handsome.

The woman slides a piece of paper to someone off camera.

WOMAN
Here’s my address. Pick me up tomorrow night at seven.

The woman winks, stands, and leaves. The camera pans over to reveal the Green Dude looking down at
the paper.

GREEN DUDE
(Confused mumble)

We see the Druid look surprised. We see Thomas sit down at the bar. We see a wanted poster of Thomas
posted on the wall behind the bartender. Thomas sees the poster, and looks nervous. He pulls his hood
down to better cover his face. The bartender walks over to him, and blows his nose in an old rag, and then
proceeds to wipe out a shot glass with the rag, and sets it before Thomas.

BARTENDER
What’ll it be?

Thomas looks at the filthy shot glass.

THOMAS
Um, I’m fine, thanks.
Bartender shrugs.

BARTENDER
Your loss.

The bartender takes a drink from a bottle of whiskey, and wipes his mouth with the filthy rag. The
bartender starts to walk away.

THOMAS
Hey, I’m looking for someone. Perhaps you can
help me.

The bartender turns back, and leans on the counter.

BARTENDER
You looking for information?

Thomas nods.

BARTENDER
Well, drinks ain’t the only thing that costs money here.

Thomas reaches into his pocket, and drops a few coins on the counter. The bartender picks up the coins.

THOMAS
I’m looking for Drake.

BARTENDER
The Guardian?

Thomas looks nervous.

THOMAS
(Hesitates)
Yeah.

BARTENDER
You a bounty hunter?

THOMAS
Something like that.

BARTENDER
Well don’t get your hopes up. Bounty hunters have
been looking for Drake for years.

THOMAS
I need to find him.

BARTENDER
(Laughs)
That outlaw has evaded Adrayen’s knights for over a decade,
What makes you think you can catch him?

Thomas looks frustrated.

BARTENDER
But, maybe you’ll get lucky. It’s bound to happen sometime
I suppose. And when it does, that’ll be a day to celebrate.
The Guardians reign of terror will finally come to an end,
and Adrayen will restore peace to the world.

Thomas looks annoyed. He looks like he is about to say something, but stops. The Druid sits at the bar.
We see NORMAN the boatman walk up and sit next to the Druid. Norman holds up one finger to the
bartender. The bartender puts a shot glass of whiskey in front of Norman. Norman shakes his head and
grunts.

DRUID
That kind of day, huh?

NORMAN
(Grunts)

DRUID
Yeah, I hear ya buddy.

The Druid takes a drink. We see the Green Dude standing in front of a Gypsy, fortune teller. We see a
crystal ball and cards on the table. The fortune teller caresses, and stares into her crystal ball.

FORTUNE TELLER
I see in your future love, triumph, danger, and financial
success.

The fortune teller looks up at the Green Dude.

GREEN DUDE
(Interested mumble)

The fortune teller turns over a card, and examines it.

FORTUNE TELLER
Oh no! The card of excruciating pain and death!

We see the card has a picture of a yellow smiley face, with the words “Happy happy fun card.”

FORTUNE TELLER
You are destined for a most unfortunate catastrophe.

GREEN DUDE
(Worried mumble)

FORTUNE TELLER
I can tell you how to escape this fate, for the small
fee of…….six hundred gold coins.

GREEN DUDE
(Angry mumble)

SUBTITLE : “What a crock of @#*!”

The Green Dude walks away. We see the Druid and Norman facing each other. Both hold shot glasses full
of whiskey.

DRUID
Ready? Go!

Both the Druid and Norman down the whiskey, and slam their shot glasses down on the counter. The Druid
shakes his head.

DRUID
Woo!

Norman looks tipsy, and raises another finger to the bartender.

BARTENDER
I think you’ve had enough, Norman.

NORMAN
(Angry grunt)

Norman slams his hand on the counter.

BARTENDER
(Sighs)
All right, but I think it’s time you admit that you have a
problem.

The bartender pours Norman more whiskey. Norman drains the glass, and then passes out face first on
the counter. The bartender snaps his fingers.

BARTENDER
Tyrone, he did it again. Take him out back.

We see a BOUNCER approach Norman, and grab him under the arms, and drag him away. We see
Norman’s I.D. tag left on the counter. The Druid slides the tag toward the bartender. The Druid motions to
his drink.

DRUID
Put this on his tab.

We see Bruno playing cards with a group of cutthroats. We see the body of man with a knife in his back,
lying dead on the table. There are piles of money and poker chips on the table. Each player eyes one
another suspiciously. After a moment of silence, Bruno slams down his cards on the table.

BRUNO
I WIN!

We see Bruno’s cards are random, and in no way justify his claim to victory. Bruno sticks his tongue out at
the other players, and excitedly collects the pile of money. The other players grumble as they pull
weapons. We hear the bar door slam open. The cutthroats slowly lower their weapons, and look surprised.
We see Thomas look at the door. We see a man with a bandaged face, and messy hair enter the bar,
JAKITH. With him are three mutants. We see all of the patrons fall silent, and look nervous.

BARTENDER
(Nervous)
Lord, Jakith? What brings you to my humble establishment?

Jakith ignores the bartender, tears a wanted poster from the wall, and presents the wanted poster to the
crowd.

JAKITH
I’m looking for this man.

Thomas looks nervous, and tries to hide his face. The crowd remains silent.

JAKITH
No one’s seen him?

Jakith motions to the mutants, who spread out, and begin tipping over tables, and pulling down people’s
masks and hoods.

JAKITH
No one leaves until we’re finished.

The bartender sees the wanton destruction, and looks worried.

BARTENDER
Please, Jakith. He’s not here! Please don’t do this!

We see Jakith quickly hurl a knife into the bartender’s chest. The bartender slumps down and dies.
Thomas looks worried. The mutants approach the table where Bruno is sitting. They pull off the masks of
the cutthroats sitting at the table. They come to Bruno, and pull down his hood. Bruno sheepishly smiles,
and slightly waves.

BRUNO
(Nervous smile)
Hi.

The mutants shake their heads, and slam down the wanted poster on the table. A mutant approaches the
Green Dude, and removes his glasses.

GREEN DUDE
(Mumbles)

The mutant shakes his head and puts the glasses back onto the Green Dude.  Thomas quickly glances
around, and sees a half depleted whiskey bottle. He grabs it, and rests his head on the bar, spilling some
of the whiskey. He pretends to be passed out. We see a mutant pass by him without taking notice. We see
a mutant approach the Druid. The Druid looks nervous. The mutant rudely pulls down the Druid’s hood,
and then turns and walks away.

DRUID
(Quiet)
Yeah, you better just keep on walking.

We see the mutant turn back. The Druid quickly looks away. We see the mutants return to Jakith’s side.
They shake their heads.

JAKITH
He’s not here.

We see Jakith and the mutants turn to leave. We see Bruno pick up the wanted poster, and study it. He
looks excited. Bruno holds up the wanted poster and points at Thomas.

BRUNO
Hey Thomas! This guy looks just like you!

Thomas looks both surprised and frustrated. We see Jakith, and the entire bar turn to look at Thomas.
Jakith points.

JAKITH
It’s him!

The mutants and bar patrons all pull their weapons and advance on Thomas. Someone grabs Bruno
around the neck from behind. The bar erupts into a brawl as each patron is trying to get the bounty for
himself.

DRUID
Our cover’s blown! Let’s get out of here!

As the Druid gets up to leave, he is subdued by mutants.

GREEN DUDE
(mumble)

The Green Dude rushes to help but is also overwhelmed and captured.  Thomas slays a mutant and looks
up to see Jakith pushing through the crowd to get to him.  He takes one last look at his friends as they are
being bound and escapes out the back of the bar.

JAKITH
He slipped out the back! After him!

41. EXT. FIELD

We see Thomas running through tall weeds pursued by two mutants. He drops down into the weeds and
hides. The two mutants walk close by, looking for him. Right as they’re approaching him, Thomas jumps up
from his hiding spot and beheads one of the mutants. The second mutant charges Thomas, and they fight
for a moment. Thomas kills the mutant, and looks back in the direction of where his friends were captured.
He pulls the crystal out and looks into it.

42. EXT. DUNGEON- BLACK AND WHITE

We see a quick shot of the outside of the dungeon, guarded by mutants.

INT. DUNGEON- BLACK AND WHITE

We see Bruno, the Druid, and the Green Dude chained to a wall.

43. EXT. FIELD

Thomas lowers the crystal with a frustrated look. He stares at the attire of one of the  mutants, looking
thoughtful.

44. INT. DUNGEON

Bruno, Druid, and the Green Dude are chained to the wall in a filthy cell. Bones litter the floor, and a rat
scampers to and fro. Bruno wails, and draws tally marks on the walls.

BRUNO
I can’t take it any more!

DRUID
What are you doing, counting minutes?
We’ve been here like, half an hour!

BRUNO
They say prison changes a man…

GREEN DUDE
(depressed mumble)

BRUNO
Hey, Guards? I’m huuungry! Hello? Hello?

We hear a voice coming from the next cell over.

TRAE (V.O.)
Keep it down, I’m tryin’ to sleep!

Bruno and the Druid look surprised, and look over at the wall in the direction of the voice. The Druid puts
his ear to the wall.

DRUID
Who’s there?

We see Trae leaning against the wall in the adjoining cell. He is scruffy, and wearing ragged clothes and
an eye patch.

45. INT. CELL
TRAE
You ain’t the only ones in here, mate.
You boys from around here?

46. INT. CELL

GREEN DUDE
(long, explanatory mumble)

There is an awkward silence.

TRAE (V.O.)
Definitely not.

Bruno starts crying.

47. INT. CELL

TRAE
I thought they kept the ladies in a separate prison.

48. INT. CELL

The Druid looks at Bruno, who stops crying.

49. INT. CELL

TRAE
Tell your daughter she don’t need to worry much longer.
Jakith’s not in the habit of keeping prisoners very long.

50. INT. CELL
BRUNO
(excited)
You mean he’ll let us go?!

51. INT. CELL

TRAE
(chuckles)
Sure, mate.

52. EXT. CELL

We see two armed mutants standing outside the cell. A third mutant approaches them. They pay no
special notice. Suddenly the third mutant pulls out his sword and slays one of the guards. He pulls off his
mask to reveal that it’s Thomas. The other guard attacks, and there is a struggle.

THOMAS
(struggling, speaking through the wall)
Guys, I’m gonna throw the keys through the window!

53. INT. CELL

BRUNO
Thomas! I’m cold and I’m hungry and it’s scary
and stinky and….

54. EXT. CELL

THOMAS
(interrupts)
Bruno, I’m kind of busy right now!

We see Thomas and the guard struggling. Thomas slams the mutant against the wall.

THOMAS
Just make sure you catch them, okay?

Thomas throws the keys through the window of the cell.

55. INT. CELL

The Druid catches the keys. Bruno tries to grab them away.

BRUNO
Ooh! Let me! Let me!

DRUID
No, Bruno, stop!

Bruno and the Druid grapple with the keys. In the struggle the keys fall to the floor and down a drain. The
Druid and Bruno look at each other.

DRUID
(yells)
Uh… Thomas, they didn’t work!

56. INT. CELL

Thomas and the guard continue to struggle. Thomas breaks free and kills the mutant. He looks at the lock
on the dungeon door, then at the ground, deep in thought.

BRUNO (V.O)
What do we do now?

Thomas looks thoughtful. He looks back up at the door.

THOMAS
I’m gonna try something. Stand back.

57. INT. CELL

The guys in the cell look at each other with uncertainty, but do as they’re told.

58. EXT. CELL

Thomas closes his eyes and concentrates, then holds up his hand at the door. The door begins to rock
and then pops open.

59. INT. CELL

Bruno, the Druid, and the Green Dude stare in amazement.

BRUNO
That was WICKED!!!

DRUID
Psshh. I don’t even need a crystal to do that.
60. INT. CELL

TRAE
Crystal of Destiny? You’re a Guardian?
61. EXT. CELL

THOMAS
C’mon, guys. Let’s get out of here.

62. INT. CELL

TRAE
Wait, wait! Take me with you!

63. EXT. CELL

THOMAS
Yeah, you and every other lowlife in this prison.
No thanks.

64. INT. CELL

TRAE
You don’t understand! I know Drake! That’s why
Jakith threw me in here!

65. EXT. CELL

THOMAS
(doubtful)
You know where Drake is?

66. INT. CELL

TRAE
I can take you to him.

There is a pause.

67. EXT. CELL

Suddenly the door to Trae’s cell opens. Trae steps out, blinking in the light. He sees the Green Dude and
steps back in shock.

TRAE
Whoa…

GREEN DUDE
(mumbles)

Thomas brandishes his sword.

THOMAS
If you’re lying…

TRAE
Take it easy, mate. I’m tellin’ the truth.

THOMAS
I guess we’ll see, won’t we?

Thomas points to the dead mutants, and pulls the mask back over his face.

THOMAS
Put on their clothes.

We see Bruno pulling on one of the mutants shirts. It doesn’t even come close to fitting. Trae and the
Druid shake their heads.

THOMAS
Uhhhhh…no. Here.

Thomas hands Bruno shackles.

THOMAS
I saw where they’re keeping your things. Let’s hurry.

68. EXT. PRISON

We see a guard standing against a wall. Thomas, Druid, and Trae walk by dressed as mutants. They are
leading Bruno and the Green Dude as prisoners, who are chained up.

69. INT. PRISON

Jakith and the mutant guard enter the empty cell where the prisoners escaped from. Upon seeing the
empty cell, Jakith turns to the mutant and grabs him by the throat, lifting him up. Jakith breaks the mutant’s
neck and lets him fall to the ground, then starts yelling in rage.

70. EXT. FIELD

We see the party running through the tall weeds. They are still dressed as mutants. Thomas stops,
removes his hood, and looks back. The Druid and Trae both remove their hoods.
BRUNO
Can I take my chains off now?

DRUID
It’s better that you leave them on for the next two
or three weeks.

BRUNO
(Sad)
Well, ok.

Thomas scowls at the Druid, and unlocks Bruno’s shackles.

TRAE
Thanks for getting me out that rat hole.

THOMAS
It wasn’t an act of charity. You said you know where to
find Drake.

TRAE
That’s right.

THOMAS
Who are you?!

TRAE
(Sighs)
My name is Trae. I’m part of a group of rebels who
fight against Adrayen’s rule. We’re called the Jadyr, and
our leader is Drake.

Bruno nudges Thomas.

BRUNO
Hey! The guy we’re looking for is also named Drake! What
are the odds of that?

TRAE
(To Thomas)
What’s wrong with him?

THOMAS
I’ve never heard of the Jadyr.

TRAE
That’s cause there’s not many of us left. Drake’s
force is all that remains of the resistance. Adrayen’s soldiers
hunted us like animals, and those who weren’t imprisoned
or killed were forced into hiding.

THOMAS
And you were captured?

TRAE
(Nods)
Because Jakith thought he could force me to reveal the
location of the Jadyr.

Thomas looks thoughtful.

THOMAS
The man with the bandaged face?

TRAE
(Nods)
That’s Jakith. He’s the foremost amongst Adrayen’s
knights, and the most vicious. You don’t wanna mess
with him, mate.

We hear a mutant search party drawing near. Thomas looks scared.

THOMAS
Get down!

The party quickly lies on the ground, and falls momentarily silent.

THOMAS
(Whispers)
So where do we find Drake?

TRAE
A planet called Visidra. But the only connecting portal I know
of is back at the Crossroads.

Thomas pulls the Crystal of Destiny from his robe, and looks into it. We see the crystal begin to glow.

THOMAS
(Concentrating)
There’s another one, two days South of here. The crystal will
lead us to it.

Thomas glances around.

THOMAS
Come on.

71. EXT. FOREST

We see the party, dressed again in their regular clothes, walking in single file with Thomas in the lead. We
see Trae lagging behind. He is sweaty and looks pale. Thomas looks at the crystal as it glows and guides
him. Bruno bounces up to him, and breaks his concentration.

BRUNO
Thomas. I think Trae’s sick.

Thomas looks back. We see Trae stumble as he tries to walk. Thomas looks worried.

THOMAS
We better stop for the night.

72. EXT. CAMP

We see the party setting up for camp. Bruno rubs two sticks together in an effort to start a fire. He
becomes increasingly frustrated as each of his attempts fail, until he throws the sticks in anger, folds his
arms and sulks. The Druid picks up the sticks and offers them to the Green Dude.

DRUID
Your turn.

We see Thomas unrolling a tarp. Trae begins to walk away

THOMAS
Where’re you going?

TRAE
I’m not feeling well. I think I’ll sleep over there.

Trae points to a place some distance away. We see the Druid staring away. We hear a fire ignite. The
Druid turns, and we see a camp fire burning. The Druid stares at the Green Dude, and then exchanges a
confused look with Bruno.
We see Trae moving further away.

THOMAS
Are you going to be ok?

TRAE
(Snaps)
I’m fine! Leave me alone!

DRUID
(Makes cat noise)

The Druid imitates a cat scratching. Thomas looks worried.

73. CAMP – NIGHT

We see Thomas, the Druid, and the Green Dude sleeping. Bruno lies awake, and shifts uncomfortably.

BRUNO
(Whispers)
Thomas! Thomas, I gotta pee.

Thomas turns away from Bruno.

BRUNO
Man...

Bruno sits up. We hear a wolf howl in the distance. Bruno looks scared.

BRUNO
I can’t hold it.

Bruno hesitates, and then hurries away.

74. FOREST – NIGHT

Bruno returns from relieving himself. We hear growling and rustling in the bushes. Bruno stops. He
nervously glances around.

BRUNO
Santa?

The woods fall quiet. Bruno shakes his head, and continues on. Suddenly a monstrous figure leaps out of
the bushes, and tackles Bruno. Bruno screams as the monster tries to throttle him. We see Thomas and
the Green Dude abruptly wake. Thomas grabs his sword, and quickly gets up. The Green Dude follows.
We see the Druid continue to sleep peacefully. The monster struggles with Bruno, and tries to bite him.
Bruno holds the monster’s face away with his hand. Suddenly Thomas grabs the monster from behind, and
pulls him off of Bruno. Thomas struggles with the monster. Bruno grabs the monster from behind, and
subdues him. Thomas raises his sword to dispatch the monster, but stops when he notices the monster is
dressed in Trae’s clothes and eye patch.

THOMAS
It’s Trae!

75. FOREST – NIGHT

We see a monstrous Trae tied to a tree, ranting, and struggling against his bonds. Thomas, Bruno, and
the Green Dude stare at the scene. We see Trae snap his jaws at Bruno. Bruno jumps back, and whines.

THOMAS
I’ll take the first watch. Green, you take the second, and Bruno
you’ll stand guard the rest of the night.

76. FOREST – MORNING

We see Thomas, Bruno, and the Green Dude all sleeping. We hear Bruno snoring loudly. We see Trae
sitting against the tree. He is again in human form.

TRAE
Hey? Someone wanna untie me?

We see Thomas stir, and awake. We see Thomas look at Bruno. He nudges Bruno, and wakes him.

THOMAS
You were supposed to be keeping watch!

BRUNO
(Groggy, and licking his lips)
….I didn’t know that giraffes bled caramel…

Thomas stands.

THOMAS
You want to let us in on your little secret?

TRAE
(Sigh)
I told you that Jakith was trying to force me to reveal the hideout
of the Jadyr. I wouldn’t tell him, so he began the process of changing
me into a mutant. That way, I’d be his slave, and would have no
choice.

THOMAS
Then the process is not complete?

TRAE
(Shakes his head)
No. But far along enough that I have little “episodes” like the
one last night. They’ll become more and more frequent until
the change is permanent.

THOMAS
Is there no cure?

TRAE
The only hope I have is to kill the mutant who bit me. Jakith.

Thomas draws his sword, and walks over to Trae.

THOMAS
Next time you feel an “episode” setting in, you will tell us, so
we can take precautions so nobody gets hurt. Otherwise, I
won’t hesitate to kill you myself. Understand?

Thomas cuts Trae’s bonds. Trae stands, and rubs his wrists.

TRAE
Gotcha.

We see Bruno rolling around on the ground, and gnawing on a piece of bark, and growling.

TRAE
(Worried)
Has he been bitten?

Thomas looks ashamed.

THOMAS
(Embarrassed)
No.

We see the Druid stretching as he walks up to the group. He yawns.

DRUID
So what’s going on?

77. ROCK FORMATION – DAY

We see the party approach the center of a ring of stones.

THOMAS
It’s here. Stand in the center of these rocks.

Thomas holds up his crystal, and the party disappears in a flash of light.

78. EDGE OF VISIDRA FOREST – DAY

We see the party appear on the edge of the forest. Trae points to the woods.

TRAE
The Jadyr hideout is deep inside this forest. Drake chose it because it’s
a natural labyrinth. Stay close, or you’ll quickly lose your way.

79. VISIDRA FOREST - DAY

We see the party trudging along through a dense forest. Thomas is staring at the ground.

THOMAS
(To Trae)
How much farther?

Thomas receives no response. He looks up. We see Trae is no where to be seen.

THOMAS
Trae?

Thomas stops, and looks back at the party.

THOMAS
Where’s Trae?

We see the party glance around. Bruno shrugs.

THOMAS
I knew he couldn’t be trusted.

Thomas looks frustrated.

THOMAS
We’re lost!

80. VISIDRA FOREST – DAY

We see the party trying to find their way through the forest. We see Bruno pass by a tree.
Bruno stops and looks at the tree. He pulls a knife.

BRUNO
Ooh! I’m gonna carve my name in this tree.

Bruno hesitates. We see Bruno’s name already carved twice in the tree. The carving reads “Bruno Wuz
Here.”

BRUNO
(Suspicious)
Wait a minute…

Bruno waves to Thomas

BRUNO
Thomas! Thomas! There’s two other guys named Bruno
living in this forest!

DRUID
You made those carvings you idiot. We’re going in circles.

GREEN DUDE
(Frustrated mumble)

DRUID
Hey, there’s no need for profanity.

THOMAS
(Annoyed)
You guys aren’t helping!

Bruno begins to carve his name a third time on the bark of the tree. We see the barrel of a blow dart gun
slowly emerge from the bushes, and hear the sound of a dart being fired. Bruno grabs the back of his neck.

BRUNO
Oowww!

Bruno pulls the dart from his neck and examines it.

BRUNO
What’s this?

We see Bruno’s eyes roll back, and he suddenly drops to the ground with a large thud. We see the other
three walking. The Green Dude steps in a rope snare and is quickly lifted from the ground.

GREEN DUDE
( Panicked mumble)

Thomas whips around to see the Green Dude suspended upside down, and swinging from a tree.

THOMAS
Hey!

The Druid looks worried. He begins to back away toward the bushes. Suddenly an arm reaches out, and
grabs the Druid around the neck, and pulls him into the bushes. Thomas glances around the forest, and
we see Bruno passed out on the ground, the Green Dude hanging from a tree, and the Druid bound and
gagged, and tied to the trunk of a tree. Thomas draws his sword. Suddenly a masked woman leaps from
the bushes and attacks him. She wields two short swords, and quickly puts Thomas on the defensive. The
two fight for a moment. Thomas disarms her and backs the woman against the tree. He puts the edge of
his sword up to her neck, and pulls off her mask. We see that the woman is the same person from Thomas’
s earlier vision. Thomas looks surprised, and begins to lower his sword.

THOMAS
You!

The woman, Terra, takes advantage of the opportunity by grabbing Thomas’s arm, and twisting it, and
then kneeing Thomas in the groin. Thomas drops his sword, and falls to the ground in extreme pain. Terra
grabs Thomas’s sword, and puts the point to Thomas’s throat. Thomas rolls on the ground, and in the
process the Crystal of Destiny falls from his things. Terra looks surprised.

TERRA
You’re a Guardian?

We see Thomas writhing in manly pain.

THOMAS
Yeah. I’m looking for Drake.

TERRA
He’s my father.

Thomas looks surprised.

FADE OUT

81. VISIDRA FOREST – DAY

We see Thomas and Terra walking side by side. Bruno, Druid, and the Green Dude are walking behind
them.

TERRA
Listen, I’m sorry about ambushing you like that. My
father has charged me with defending our borders from
Adrayen’s spies.

Thomas glances back at Bruno, who is rubbing his neck and stumbles into a tree as he is still suffering
from the effects of the poison dart.

THOMAS
Yeah. Don’t worry about it.

TERRA
My name is Terra.

THOMAS
I’m Thomas, and that’s Bruno.

Bruno tries to talk, but his speech is slurred beyond recognition, and he falls to the ground. Thomas and
Terra stop walking.

TERRA
He’ll be ok in about an hour.

Thomas motions to the Druid.

THOMAS
This is…

The Druid pushes past Thomas, and kneels before Terra.  He takes her hand, and gently kisses it.

DRUID
Lord Edwin Von Heinrich Charleston the third, crowned
prince of the realm of Silar-dol-Goethen.

TERRA
You’re hurting me.

Terra pulls her hand away from the Druid.

DRUID
(Nervous chuckle)
Oh, Sorry.

The Druid stands, and caresses his biceps.

DRUID
Sometimes I don’t know my own strength.

Thomas rolls his eyes, and pushes the Druid away.

THOMAS
That’s the Druid. He lies….A lot.

Thomas motions to the Green Dude.

THOMAS
That’s….

We see the Green Dude staring.

THOMAS
Uh…we’re really not sure what his name is. We just call
him the Green Dude.

Terra approaches the Green Dude, and pats him on the face.

TERRA
He’s adorable.

GREEN DUDE
(Flirtatious mumble)

THOMAS
How far is it to the Jadyr hideout?

Terra turns away from the Green Dude.
TERRA
Not far. Follow me.

83. CABIN – DAY

We see the party emerge from the forest, led by Terra. Sitting on a nearby stump is Trae.

TRAE
(To Terra)
Hey beautiful. I see you’ve brought some transients home
for dinner.

THOMAS
(Angry)
You left us!

Trae shrugs.

TRAE
Relax, mate. Just wanted to see what you were made of.
You got here, didn’t ya?

THOMAS
(Sarcastic)
Yeah. Thanks.

TERRA
They should’ve left you in that prison.

TRAE
(Sarcastic)
That really hurts. Right here.

Trae touches his chest.

THOMAS
Just who’s side are you on?!

Trae stands, and gets into Thomas’s face.

TRAE
Mine.

Thomas pushes Trae who reacts by drawing his sword. Terra moves in between the two.

TERRA
Back off Trae!

DRAKE (V.O.)
That’s enough!

We see Drake standing in the doorway of the cabin.

DRAKE
All of you.

THOMAS
Drake!

84. INT. CABIN – DINNER TABLE

We see the party seated at the dinner table eating with Drake and Terra. Bruno is gorging himself. He
wipes his mouth on the Druid’s robe.

DRUID
(Irritated)
Hey!

THOMAS
Aren’t you a little young to be Terra’s father?

DRAKE
How old do you think I am?

THOMAS
I dunno. Twenty five?

DRAKE
I’m fifty seven.

THOMAS
No way!

DRAKE
Those connected to a Crystal of Destiny don’t age.
You should’ve known that.

THOMAS
(Sad)
Lobo died before he had a chance to tell me a lot of things.

DRAKE
You’ve traveled a long way to find me. Why?

THOMAS
(Confused)
We came to join the fight against Adrayen.

DRAKE
You have no idea what you’re up against. Adrayen
is unlike any foe you’ve ever faced.

THOMAS
I thought you needed my help.

DRAKE
(Scoffs)
You’re just a kid. What difference do you think you can
make? Do you even know how to use your crystal?

TERRA
Father! We need all the help we can get!

DRAKE
That’s your hope for mankind? Him?

We see Bruno choking. He coughs up a fork.

DRAKE
Or him?

We see the Druid spill hot soup on his lap. He jumps up and dances around in pain.

DRAKE
Or….that?

We see the Green Dude nudging his bowl in an effort to eat.

GREEN DUDE
(Frustrated mumble)

THOMAS
(Angry)
We’re the last of the Guardians. It’s our responsibility…..

DRAKE
Don’t lecture me about responsibility! I’ve been fighting
the enemy since before you were born!

THOMAS
I know what I’m doing! I killed one of the Eight Knights
of Adrayen!

DRAKE
That doesn’t impress me, kid!

GREEN DUDE
(Defensive mumble)

DRUID
That’s a good point.

BRUNO
Thomas beat up five grizzly bears….… at the same
time! And they had metal wings, and breathed fire!

DRUID
(Nods)
It’s true. He did. I was there.

There is an awkward pause.

DRAKE
Why are they talking?

THOMAS
(To party. Embarrassed.)
Guys, please. I can handle this.

TERRA
Thomas may not have a lot of experience, but you could
finish his training! With two Guardians, the Jadyr just
might have a chance!

DRAKE
Adrayen is too powerful!

THOMAS
What about Kaylor’s Prophecy?

DRAKE
(Sad)
I don’t believe in that anymore….

THOMAS
Darius and Lobo believed it!

DRAKE
The Lupis brothers were both unrealistic fools!

Thomas slams his hands on the table, and abruptly stands. He looks angry. Bruno, Druid Terra and the
Green Dude look concerned. Thomas stares at Drake, and then storms out.
Terra scowls at Drake,  then stands, and follows Thomas.

85. OUTSIDE CABIN – DAY

We see Thomas sitting on the ground. He stares into the distance. Terra walks up behind him.

TERRA
Please forgive my father. He’s not been himself lately.

THOMAS
I have to admit,  he’s not what I expected.

Terra sits next to Thomas.

TERRA
He wasn’t always like this.

THOMAS
What happened to him?

TERRA
(Hesitates)
My mother was captured and killed by Jakith. Since
then, my father has lost the will to fight.

Thomas turns to look at Terra.

THOMAS
I’m sorry.

TERRA
So am I. It seems that ever since she was murdered,
things have just fallen apart.

THOMAS
I think I can relate. Ever since Lobo died, my world
has turned upside down. Sometimes I wonder why I’m
doing this.

TERRA
We all doubt ourselves. It’s normal.

THOMAS
I guess.

We hear snickering. Terra and Thomas glance back toward the cabin and see Druid, Bruno, and the
Green Dude watching them. When the group realizes that Thomas and Terra are watching them, they
straighten up and try to look attractive. Druid flexes his muscles, and Bruno flirtatiously waves.

BRUNO
Hi Terra.

Terra and Thomas turn back to look at each other. Thomas nervously chuckles.

THOMAS
Sorry about that.

TERRA
(Chuckles)
Where did you pick them up?

THOMAS
Bruno’s been my best friend since we were kids, the
Druid was our…”guide” for a while, and the Green
Dude….well he just started following us one day.

TERRA
Why?

THOMAS
I really don’t know.

TERRA
They’re an…..interesting group.

THOMAS
Yeah. But they’re loyal. We’ve been through a lot together.

TERRA
How did you become a Guardian?

THOMAS
It’s a long story.

TERRA
I’d like to hear it.

THOMAS
Lobo recruited Bruno and I to battle a demon that
had come to our world, Earth. During the battle Lobo
died, and I inherited his Guardianship. It was some time
before Lobo’s brother, Darius found us, and I came to
know of the war between the Guardians and Adrayen.
Darius led us to the Crystal of Destiny, but we were
ambushed by Arvek, one of Adrayen’s eight knights.
I killed Arvek, but Darius…..

Thomas looks pained.

THOMAS
He died because of my mistakes.

Terra touches Thomas arm.

TERRA
Darius told you about my father?

Thomas nods.

THOMAS
After our battle with Arvek, I was determined to find
the last Guardian and make a combined stand against
Adrayen. It was harder than I thought…

86.EXT. TRAIN TRACKS – DAY

We see Thomas looking into the crystal, and leading the party alongside a set of train tracks. They arrive
at an abandoned building.

BRUNO
The portal’s in there?

THOMAS
(Nods)
Yup.

We see the party walk toward the building. We see a variety of shots of different landscapes.

THOMAS (V.O.)
We traveled from one world to another. Through portal
to portal for almost a year.

87.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN – DAY

THOMAS
And now I’m here, with you.

Thomas stares at Terra for a moment, and then nervously turns away. Suddenly we hear Bruno hacking,
and coughing.

DRUID (V.O.)
Thomas! Thomas! Come quick!

We see Bruno rolling around on the ground, grabbing his throat.

DRUID
Bruno swallowed a pine cone!

88.INT. CABIN

We see Drake sitting at the table. He holds a Crystal of Destiny in his hand, and stares into it.

CLOSE UP – DRAKE’S EYES
We hear battle sounds.

89.INT. PRISON

We see Drake kill two mutants. He enters a prison cell. We see him kneel next to the body of a woman.

DRAKE
(Sobs)
Kallistra…..

We see Drake cradle the body of his wife.

90.INT. CABIN - NIGHT

We see a tear run down Drake’s cheek. Suddenly we hear the door swing open. Drake quickly puts away
his crystal. Terra walks up to Drake, and looks suspicious.

TERRA
What were you doing?

Drake turns away.

TERRA
You can’t keep dwelling on the past. It’s destroying you!

DRAKE
I know.

Terra hugs Drake.

TERRA
I miss her too, but you have to move on.

DRAKE
I try.

TERRA
Just let it go.

Drake looks sad.

91.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN – MORNING

We see Thomas sleeping soundly. Suddenly we see cold water pour over Thomas’s face. He abruptly
wakes, and sits up. We see Trae standing over him, smiling, and holding a bucket.

TRAE
Morning, sunshine. You ready?

Thomas wipes himself off.

THOMAS
(Angry)
For what?

TRAE
Training.

92.EXT. CABIN OUTSIDE – DAY

We see Thomas, Bruno, Druid, and the Green Dude standing in a line. Bruno eats from a jar of honey with
his bare hands. Terra stands in front of the group, and Trae sits on a nearby rock, picking his teeth with a
knife.

TERRA
You’ve all done well against the enemies you’ve faced
so far, and you have shown potential. However, there
is still much to learn, and you are all far from ready.

TRAE
So very, very far.

We see Bruno with honey smeared all over his mouth and chin. He looks up in confusion.

BRUNO
Huh?

TERRA
By the time we finish your training, you will all be great
warriors, worthy of the Jadyr.

We see the Green Dude standing between Bruno and the Druid, who alternately tap him on the shoulder,
causing him to spin in circles.

GREEN DUDE
(Frustrated mumble)

TRAE
(Sarcastic)
Rigggght…

TERRA
Let’s begin!

93.EXT. ROCKY PATH – DAY

We see Thomas, and the Druid jogging, holding a stick over their shoulders with a pail of water hanging
from each end. Bruno lags behind. He stops, and puts the pails down. He then drinks the water from one
the pails until it is empty, spilling most of it down his chin. He finishes, hoists the stick again on his
shoulders, and resumes jogging with a new vigor.

94.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN – DAY

We see Terra and Trae holding fighting staffs. Terra tosses one to Thomas, and the Druid. Trae tosses
another to Bruno, and the Green Dude. The staff hits the Green Dude in the face, and drops to the
ground. Trae and Terra exchange an uncertain glance.

95.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN – DAY

We see Terra sparring with Bruno. She attacks him, and Bruno backs away, while covering his eyes, and
wildly swinging his staff. He backs away until he loses his footing, and rolls down a hill. We see Terra
peering over the ravine, and hear Bruno yell as he continues to roll down the hill. At last we hear a splash,
as Bruno has fallen into a pond.

96.EXT. FOREST – DAY

We see Thomas, the Druid, Bruno, and the Green Dude jogging through the forest. They stop a moment
to rest. As Terra jogs by, the Druid and Bruno straighten up, and try to appear as though they are not
exhausted.

DRUID
This is nothing. I could do ten more laps.

After Terra passes, the Druid and Bruno return to looking fatigued. Bruno passes out and falls to the
ground.

97.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN – DAY

We see Trae sparring with the Druid. They fight with sticks, and Trae repeatedly disarms the Druid, and
knocks him to the ground. While on the ground, the Druid pretends to cry like a little girl. Trae walks up
behind him, and the Druid suddenly turns and tosses dirt into Trae’s eyes. While Trae is blinded, the Druid
trips him, and then stands, and begins to run away. While he runs, he looks back and shouts.

DRUID
Sucker!

98.EXT. FIELD – DAY

We see Terra demonstrating how to use a bow and arrow. She fires a shot, and we see that she has hit a
target in the center. She then motions to Thomas, who takes the bow and arrow and fires a shot. We see
Thomas hit near the center of the target. Terra nods in approval and then motions to Bruno, who takes the
bow and arrow, and fires a wild shot.

GREEN DUDE
(Panicked mumble)

We see the Green Dude run by with an arrow sticking out of his back.

99.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN – DAY

We see Thomas sparring with Trae. We see Drake secretly watching. The match is intense, and Thomas
releases a fury of strikes that disarm and knock down Trae. Drake slightly smiles, and nods.

100.EXT. FIELD – DAY

We see Thomas and Terra lying on their backs staring up at the sky. They laugh as they talk.

101.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN – DAY

We see Terra sitting on a log, sharpening her sword. The Druid sits down on the log.

DRUID
How’s it going?

TERRA
(Without looking up)
Hey.

The Druid glances around, and slowly scoots closer to Terra. Eventually he sits close to her. He yawns,
and raises his arm over his head, intending to put it around Terra.

TERRA
Touch me and I’ll break your arm.

The Druid quickly pulls his arm down. He folds his arms, and scoots away from Terra.

102.EXT. ROPE TREE – DAY

We see a rope suspended by a branch.

TRAE
It’s simple. Climb the rope and ring the bell.

We see Thomas climb the rope, and hear him ring the bell. He drops down, and Trae nods in approval. We
see the same thing repeated by the Druid. Next the Green Dude stands in front of the rope, and bounces
as he has no way of climbing the rope. We see Trae watching, and chuckling. Terra approaches Trae.

TERRA
What’s the point of this exercise?

TRAE
I just wanted to see what he would do.

The Green Dude jumps, and mumbles in increasing frustration.

TRAE
(Laughs)
That’s priceless.

Terra shakes her head.

TERRA
(Slightly smiling)
You’re a jerk.

Bruno walks up to the rope, blows into his hands, and rubs them together. He then grabs the rope with a
tremendous strain. We hear a cracking noise, and see the branch fall to the ground causing Trae to jump
out of the way as it lands where he before stood.

103.EXT. HILL – SUNSET

We see Thomas and Terra sitting on the hill, watching the sky. Terra leans on Thomas shoulder, and
Thomas looks at Terra, and then looks back at the sky and slightly smiles.

104.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN- DAY

Thomas sits on a rock, sharpening his sword. Drake approaches Thomas, carrying two staffs. Thomas
looks surprised.

DRAKE
I’ve been watching you train.

THOMAS
And?

DRAKE
You’ve improved. But you still have yet to face a true test.

Drake tosses Thomas a staff. Thomas catches it, and stands.

DRAKE
I won’t hold back.

THOMAS
I don’t expect you to.

Drake attacks Thomas, and the two begin to furiously spar. We see Trae and Terra come running to watch
the match. Bruno, the Druid and the Green Dude follow. Drake knocks Thomas to the ground, and then
relents.

DRAKE
What are you doing?

Thomas looks frustrated, and stands.

DRAKE
You’re only using your physical abilities. A true Guardian
draws strength from his crystal. It is an extension of yourself,
and allows you to reach beyond your natural limitations.

THOMAS
I don’t understand.

DRAKE
Reach out with your mind, and feel your surroundings.

Thomas looks confused.

DRAKE
Close your eyes, and forget sight and sound.

Thomas closes his eyes.

DRAKE
Just focus.

Drake swings his staff at Thomas, who quickly blocks it, while keeping his eyes shut. Thomas slowly opens
his eyes, and looks surprised.

THOMAS
I felt that coming.

Drake nods.

DRAKE
Now you’re beginning to understand.

Drake turns and walks away.

THOMAS
Drake! Will you complete my training? Will you fight
with us?

Drake stops, keeping his back to Thomas. Drake looks thoughtful. He pauses a moment, and then
continues to walk away. Thomas glances at Terra, who is staring at her father. Terra turns to look at
Thomas.

105.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN

Thomas sits on a grassy knoll, and looks frustrated. Bruno plops down beside him.

THOMAS
What am I doing, Bruno?

Bruno cocks his head.
BRUNO
Whaddya mean?

THOMAS
Why did Lobo pick me to be a Guardian? I’m no hero.

Bruno looks thoughtful.

BRUNO
You’ve always been a hero to me.

THOMAS
(Sarcastic)
Oh yeah?

BRUNO
Yeah. Remember that time in third grade when Bobby
Charleston took my football, and you chased him down,
and made him give it back to me, and then beat him until
he told me that he was sorry.

THOMAS
(Chuckles)
Yeah. He cried like a little girl.

BRUNO
And you remember that one time in high school when
I couldn’t find a date for senior prom, so you forced your
cousin to go with me?

Thomas smiles.

THOMAS
What’re you talking about? Just because she kept crying doesn’t
mean that she didn’t want to go with you.

BRUNO
And there was also the time that I accidentally crashed into Mrs.
Romero’s car and you took the blame, and paid for it because
I didn’t have the money.

THOMAS
Anyone would’ve done that.

Bruno shakes his head.

BRUNO
No, they wouldn’t. That’s why you’re a hero.

106.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN – NIGHT

We see Bruno sleeping, he cuddles with the Green Dude. Bruno squeezes the Green Dude.

GREEN DUDE
(Uncomfortable mumble)

We see Thomas fast asleep.

FADE TO:

107.EXT. DREAM WORLD - DAY

We see Thomas standing alone. He looks confused.

ADRAYEN (V.O.)
Welcome Guardian.

Thomas looks towards the sky.

THOMAS
Where are you?!

We hear Adrayen laugh.

THOMAS
Show yourself!

We see Adrayen suddenly standing behind Thomas.

ADRAYEN
You’ve caused me a lot of trouble, Thomas.

THOMAS
Why are you here?!

ADRAYEN
To give you one last chance to do the wise thing. Join
me and take Arvek’s place.

Adrayen holds out his hand. Thomas slaps his hand away.

THOMAS
No more deals!

We see Adrayen has become monstrous. We hear him speak with an enhanced voice.

ADRAYEN
Fool!
Thomas looks scared.

ADRAYEN
You are nothing! I will easily crush you!

THOMAS
You’re wrong! I’ve found the last Guardian. Together we’re
going to raise an army and stop you!

Adrayen laughs, and we hear thunder, and see the ground shake. Thomas looks afraid. We see Adrayen
has vanished.

ADRAYEN (V.O.)
Drake is no threat to me.

Thomas looks confused.

ADRAYEN (V.O.)
The Crystals of Destiny will be mine!

108.EXT. OUTSIDE CABIN - MORNING

Thomas suddenly awakes. He sits up, and looks frightened. We see that his friends are all gone. Thomas
stands. We see Drake leaning against a nearby tree. Thomas walks towards Drake.

THOMAS
Where’d everyone go?

Drake stands silent. Thomas looks confused.

THOMAS
Drake?

Drake slowly looks up.

DRAKE
I sent them away.

THOMAS
Where?

DRAKE
(No emotion)
Trae’s gathering fire wood. Your friends set off with Terra. I
sent them to raise an army.

Thomas looks suspicious.

THOMAS
Then you’ve decided to fight?

There is a moment of silence.

DRAKE
(Sighs)
No.

Drake turns to face Thomas.

DRAKE
It was only an excuse to make them leave. For their protection.

THOMAS
Protection from what?

DRAKE
You’re a worthy Guardian, Thomas. You remind me of
myself, years ago.

Thomas looks confused.

DRAKE
Your determination, and hope almost convinced me that
we really had a chance. (Pauses, and shakes his head)
But you came too late. I’m sorry, Thomas.

Thomas takes a step back, and puts his hand on the handle of his sword.

THOMAS
What’ve you done?

DRAKE
Last night I was contacted by Adrayen. I agreed to deliver to
him the last two Crystals of Destiny. In return, he promised
to change the past so I could prevent my wife’s death.

THOMAS
How can you trust Adrayen?! He’s a monster!

DRAKE
I like you, kid. And Terra cares for you. I don’t want to see you
get hurt. Jakith will be here soon, but I made Adrayen promise
to spare your life if you cooperate.

Drake extends his hand.

DRAKE
I need your crystal.

Thomas pulls his sword.

THOMAS
You know I can’t do that Drake.

We see Trae approaching, carrying an armful of sticks. He sees Thomas brandishing his sword, and
backing away from Drake. He drops the sticks, and watches, looking confused.

DRAKE
(Irritated)
Don’t make this harder than it has to be.

THOMAS
You don’t have to do this. It’s not too late.

Drake draws his sword.

DRAKE
(Angry)
I’m warning you, Thomas! I don’t want to have to kill you!

Thomas looks Drake directly in the face.

THOMAS
(Resolute)
I won’t give you the crystal.

DRAKE
(Sad)
I’m sorry, Thomas.

Drake swings at Thomas, who blocks with his sword. The two begin to furiously battle. Trae watches from a
distance. He looks concerned. Thomas remains on the defensive, and we see that Drake is clearly the
better fighter. Thomas desperately struggles, but is knocked back time and time again. We see Jakith
arrive with a small band of mutants. Trae sees Jakith, and quickly hides. Drake unleashes a fury of attacks,
causing Thomas to lose his focus. Drake suddenly knocks Thomas’s sword out of his hand, and stabs
Thomas is the stomach. Thomas looks stunned. Drake pulls his sword from Thomas’s abdomen. Thomas
staggers back against a tree, and then slides to the ground. Drake stares at Thomas. He looks surprised,
and sad. He stares at the blood that drips from the blade of his sword. Jakith laughs. Drake glances at
Jakith.

JAKITH
Finish it!

Drake looks pained. He stares at Thomas, who clenches his stomach with blood covered hands. Drake
slowly raises his sword, ready to strike Thomas. Thomas looks up at Drake. Jakith smiles. We see a close
up of Drake’s sword strike, and hear it impact. The camera pulls back and we see that Drake has stabbed
his sword in the ground, away from Thomas. Jakith frowns. Drake turns to face Jakith.

DRAKE
I won’t kill him!

JAKITH
Then I will!

Jakith lunges forward towards Thomas. He raises his weapon to strike, but is blocked by Drake’s sword.

DRAKE
You promised he’d be spared!

JAKITH
I lied.

DRAKE
Then the deals off!

JAKITH
(Shrugs and smiles)
I was going to kill you anyway!

Trae watches as Jakith, and Drake engage in an intense battle. We see Thomas struggle up, and stumble
away from the battle. We see the mutants attack Drake, who now faces Jakith as well as several foes. Trae
draws his sword and jumps into the battle, fighting mutants, and defending Drake. Drake is wounded in
several ways by the mass attack. Although overwhelmed, Drake and Trae kill several mutants. The battle
between Jakith and Drake becomes increasingly furious. Jakith deals Drake a mortal wound, and kills him.
Drake falls to the ground. Trae sees Jakith leaning over Drake’s lifeless body. Trae looks stunned. Jakith
takes the crystal from Drake, and puts it inside his coat.

JAKITH
(Laughs)
Fool.

Suddenly we hear Trae screaming as he buries a knife into Jakith’s back. Jakith howls in pain and rage,
and turns to see Trae sword drawn, and ready to fight. Two mutants step in front of Jakith, who staggers
away from the battle. The mutants follow Jakith. Trae stares after them.

TRAE
(To Jakith)
Coward!
109.EXT. HILL SIDE

We see Thomas staggering through the woods, clenching his stomach and bleeding. He comes to a hill,
and falls, rolling down the hill. He lands in a creek, and lies still, and lifeless.

FADE OUT

END ACT TWO

110.EXT. FORK IN THE ROAD – DAY

We see Terra, Druid, Bruno, and the Green Dude standing at a fork in the road. Terra looks around.

TERRA
There are farms and villages all around this area. We’ll
cover more ground if we split up.

Bruno and the Druid each grab one of Terra’s arms.

BRUNO/DRUID
I’m with her!

Terra indignantly pulls away from both the Druid and Bruno, and puts her arm around the Green Dude.

TERRA
He’s with me.

Bruno and the Druid look dejected.

TERRA
We’ll meet back here in three hours.

Terra turns and walks away. The Green Dude follows. He looks back at the Druid and Bruno.

GREEN DUDE
(Taunting Mumble)

DRUID
You suck and you know it!

BRUNO
You gotta admit, he is better looking.

Druid and Bruno shake their heads and walk away.

We see Bruno leaning against a wooden fence and enthusiastically explaining something to someone off
screen.

BRUNO
…..so you gotta come help us fight, ok? Whaddya say?

BRUNO
Fine! Ignore me! I hate you anyway!

The camera pans over, and we see that Bruno had been addressing a group of pigs.

114.EXT. FARM – DAY

We see Bruno and the Druid walking past a pen filled with turkeys. We see Bruno stop, and lick his lips,
and begin to climb the gate to the turkey pen. We see the Druid rush, over and grab his shoulder, and pull
him down.

BRUNO
(Annoyed)
What?!

DRUID
(Sarcastic)
You know I heard somewhere that people are more likely
to help you if you don’t eat their livestock.

BRUNO
All right…..

115.EXT. FARM ROAD –DAY

We see Bruno and the Druid running away from a farmer, who is chasing them and brandishing a pitch
fork. We see Bruno munching on a turkey leg, with feathers sticking to his face.

DRUID
What did I say, Bruno?! What’d I say?!

116.EXT. TEE PEE – DAY

We see Terra and the Green Dude standing at the door of a tee pee. Terra is explaining something. After
a moment, she throws up her arms in frustration, turns, and walks away. The Green Dude follows.

117.EXT. FARM HOUSE –DAY

We see the Druid and Bruno walking past a window of a house. The Druid stops, peers into the window,
and waves. He then eagerly walks over to the door, knocks, and waits. After a moment of no response, he
angrily knocks on the door.

DRUID
I KNOW YOU’RE IN THERE! I SAW YOU THROUGH
THE WINDOW!

The Druid holds his hand out to Bruno.

DRUID
Bruno?

Bruno puts a large rock into the Druid’s hand. The Druid hurls the rock toward the house. We hear the
shattering of glass.

118.EXT. DIRT ROAD – DAY

We see Bruno and the Druid running.

119.EXT. DIRT ROAD – DAY

We see Bruno and the Druid sitting on the back of a wagon. They look dejected.

DRUID
So what now?

Bruno pulls his hands from his pockets, and we see that he has a sock puppet on each hand.

BRUNO
We can try the puppet show again?

DRUID
I don’t think that’ll work.

120.EXT. FORK IN THE ROAD – DAY

We see Terra and the Green Dude sitting by the side of the road. Bruno and the Druid approach.

TERRA
You’re late!

DRUID
(Shrugs)
Eh.

BRUNO
Any luck?

Terra shakes her head.

TERRA
You?

DRUID
Oh yeah, we had about….

Everyone looks at the Druid.

DRUID
No. Not at all.

TERRA
(Sighs)
Let’s check up the road a bit before heading back.

121.EXT. FOREST – DAY

We see the party hiking down a path that looks unused. Terra stops, halting the party.

TERRA
What’s that?

Terra points. We see a large sign that reads : “Secret Village. One Mile.” We see the Green Dude become
excited. He jumps up and down, and nods toward the sign.

GREEN DUDE
(Excited mumble)

The Green Dude runs away and disappears into the woods.

DRUID
What’s with him?

Terra jogs after the Green Dude, followed by Bruno and the Druid.

123.EXT. FOREST – DAY

We see the party jogging after the Green Dude, past a sign that reads “Secret Village, This Way.”

124.EXT. FOREST–DAY

We see another sign that reads “Secret Village Straight Ahead.” The party catches up to the Green Dude
who is standing still, and staring.

TERRA
Green?

Bruno, the Druid, and Terra catch sight of something ahead of them. They look surprised. We see a
creature like the Green Dude standing a short distance away. It is pink, and has a bow instead of a hat,
with feminine glasses.

DRUID
Another one?

GREEN DUDE
(Mumbles loudly)

PINK GIRL
(Happy mumble)

The two creatures rush to meet, and purr as they nuzzle each other.

TERRA
I-I don’t even know what to say.

DRUID
That is the most disturbing thing I have ever seen.

The two creatures continue to nuzzle and purr.

TERRA
That must be his…wife?

DRUID
Come on, guys! Get a room!

Terra walks past the two creatures, and motions for the others to follow. They do, and as they pass by,
Druid and Bruno stare unabashed at the Green Dude and the Pink Girl.

125.EXT. CLEARING – DAY

Terra, Druid and the Green Dude enter a clearing. Before them are grass huts, and several multi-colored
creatures similar to the Green Dude. The three stop, and stare at the bizarre scene. Druid and Bruno look
nervous. Bruno clutches the Druid in fear.

BRUNO
(Afraid)
Hold me.

DRUID
(Whispers)
Just keep still, and don’t make any sudden movements.

TERRA
Come on guys. I’m sure they’re friendly.

We hear a mumbled scream, and see one of the creatures charging toward the group. It slams into Terra
and knocks her a few steps back.

TERRA
Hey!

Suddenly we hear another mumbled yell, and see another creature charging. Before long Terra, Bruno,
and Druid are surrounded, and being head butted by different colored creatures.

BRUNO
We’re going to die!

DRUID
Every man for himself!

Bruno and the Druid collapse to the ground, and curl up in a defensive ball. They are kicked and crowded
by several creatures. Terra stays standing, trying to ward off their attackers, and trying to reason with
them.

TERRA
We’re not here to harm you!

GREEN DUDE (V.O.)
(Loud commanding mumble)

We see all of the creatures stop, and stand still. They turn toward the sound. We see the Green Dude and
his wife enter the clearing. Bruno and the Druid slowly, and cautiously rise. The multi-colored creatures
stare at the Green Dude for a moment, and then begin bowing.

TERRA
They’re bowing to him. He must be their leader.

DRUID
You’ve got to be kidding!

One of the creatures gently nudges Terra, and indicates to her that she must bow. Terra hesitates, and
then kneels. Bruno follows suite. The Druid shakes his head.

DRUID
No way! I am not bowing to him!

Terra grabs the Druid, and pulls him to the ground.

GREEN DUDE
(Mumbles)

126.EXT. SECRET VILLAGE – DAY

We see Terra, Bruno, and the Druid being escorted by two creatures. The creatures look at the Druid, and
then mumble to each other and laugh. The Druid looks paranoid. They approach a wall, decorated with
crude paintings.

BLUE DUDE
(Mumbles)

The creature motions to the wall. Terra studies the paintings.

TERRA
It’s their history!

We see a close up of the drawings. They depict scenes of the Green Dude being lost, and then being
crowned king.

TERRA
(Points)
I think your friend is their long lost king.

We hear a regal horn blow, and Terra, Bruno, and the Druid turn to see the Green Dude and his wife,
standing in the center of the village, surrounded by other creatures. The Green Dude’s wife wears a tiara.
One of the creatures, standing to the right of the Green Dude has a cord around his neck, suspending a
pillow upon which is placed a crown. Another creature has a cord around its neck, supporting a trumpet.

TERRA
I think this is his coronation.

The blue creature nudges Terra toward the assembly. Terra looks uncertain, but walks over to stand in
front of the Green Dude.

GREEN DUDE
(Mumbles)

The Green Dude turns to face the crown.

TERRA
You want me to crown you?

GREEN DUDE
(Approving mumble)

Terra lifts the crown from the pillow, and then turns to the Green Dude, who slightly bows his head. Terra
pauses.

TERRA
Wait…How would you have done this if we weren’t
here?

There is a long awkward pause, and the creatures look at each other. Terra shakes her head.

TERRA
Never mind.

Terra places the crown on the head of the Green Dude. The Green Dude stands upright.

BRUNO
All hail the king!

The crowd of creatures break into a mumbling cheer.

127.EXT. CLEARING –DAY

We see the Green Dude and his wife, standing at the edge of the Secret Village. Terra hugs the Green
Dude, and his wife.

TERRA
I’m glad you found your people. May you live out
your days in peace.

GREEN DUDE
(Mumble)

Terra turns and steps away. We see Bruno, freely crying, step up and bear hug both the Green Dude and
his wife simultaneously.

BRUNO
I love you guys!

GREEN DUDE
(Sad mumble)

Bruno steps away, and continues to weep. The Druid steps up to the Green Dude. He looks uncomfortable.

DRUID
I guess this is goodbye.

GREEN DUDE
(Sad mumble)

DRUID
Yeah. We did have some good times.

Druid pats the Green Dude on the back.

DRUID
See ya.

The Druid turns and the three begin to walk away. Suddenly the Druid turns back, rushes up to the Green
Dude and embraces him.

DRUID
(Blubbering)
I’m going to miss you!

The Druid turns and starts walking away with the others.

GREEN DUDE
(Long, loud farewell mumble)

Terra, Druid, and Bruno turn and wave one last time, then they start walking again. The Druid sniffles and
wipes his eyes.

TERRA
You’re crying.

DRUID
No, I’m not! I’ve just got something in my eye!

128.EXT. CREEK – DAY

We see Thomas lying on his back in the creek. He looks lifeless.

CLOSE UP – THOMAS’S FACE

129.EXT. BEAUTIFUL GARDEN

Thomas opens his eyes. He sits up, and then stands. He looks around in confusion.

LOBO (V.O.)
Hello, Thomas.

Thomas turns around. We see Lobo dressed in white, standing near Thomas.

THOMAS
Lobo!

LOBO
You’ve come a long way, Thomas but your mission
isn’t over yet.

THOMAS
I can’t go on. I can’t do this!

Thomas looks frustrated.

THOMAS
Everything’s fallen apart.

Lobo walks past Thomas.

LOBO
Walk with me.

The two begin to walk side by side.

LOBO
I’ve seen what Kaylor saw. A time when there would arise
one guardian to turn the tide of the war in its darkest hour.
That time has come. This is our darkest hour.

THOMAS
Why did you choose me to do this?!

Lobo and Thomas stop.

LOBO
There were others. Stronger warriors, wiser sages, and more
experianced soldiers.

THOMAS
Then why not one of them?!

LOBO
You have a rare quality. Something that sets you apart
from others….

Lobo pauses.

LOBO
…heart. I saw in you a selfless courage. The one thing that
will make victory possible.

THOMAS
How can I do this?

LOBO
You must be willing to sacrifice everything. That is
the only way you will be able to defeat Adrayen.

THOMAS
Lobo…

LOBO
Thomas, you are the Guardian of Kaylor’s Prophecy.

Thomas looks uncertain.

LOBO
Now get up!

130.EXT. CREEK - DAY

We see Thomas lying in the stream.

LOBO (V.O.)
Get up, Thomas!

TRAE (V.O.)
Thomas!

Thomas opens his eyes. We see Trae kneeling over him.  Thomas slowly sits up.

TRAE
Take it easy, mate. I thought we lost you!

Thomas puts his hand on his stomach, looking at the spot where Drake stabbed him. We see there is no
wound. Thomas looks surprised.

THOMAS
No, I….I’m fine.

Trae helps Thomas stand.

131.EXT.CABIN – DAY

Terra, Bruno, and the Druid approach the cabin. We see Drake’s lifeless body sprawled out on the
ground. Terra sees the body, and screams. She runs over to Drake, and kneels beside him.

TERRA
Daddy.

Terra buries her head in Drake’s chest, and weeps. Bruno, and the Druid exchange a concerned glance.
At this moment, Thomas and Trae approach. They stop, and watch Terra weeping. Terra looks up at
Thomas and Trae.

TERRA
(Crying)
He’s dead…

THOMAS
Terra…

TERRA
What happened?

Trae glances at Thomas, and then turns back to Terra.

TRAE
Jakith showed up, and your father….

Thomas glances nervously at Trae.

THOMAS
(Interrupts)
…your father died saving me.

Trae looks at Thomas in surprise.

THOMAS
I’m sorry…

Terra puts her head on Drake’s chest and continues to bitterly weep.

132.INT. CABIN – DAY

We see Drake lying in a bed. Terra kisses his forehead.

TERRA
Goodbye, father.

Terra pulls the blanket over Drake’s head, and then falls into Thomas’s arms, and weeps.

TRAE
(Gently)
We shouldn’t linger. Adrayen knows where we are.
They’ll be back.

Thomas nods, and pulls out the crystal. He looks into it, and raises his head looking  surprised.

TERRA
What is it?

Thomas shakes his head, and looks into the crystal again. Thomas looks worried.

TRAE
What?

Thomas raises his head. He looks stunned.

THOMAS
All the portals on this planet are sealed.

Trae sighs. Terra looks frightened.

THOMAS
We’re trapped.

133.EXT. CABIN - DAY

Thomas anxiously exits the cabin, followed by Terra and Trae. Bruno sees Thomas’s worried expression,
and he and the Druid approach him. Thomas looks again into his crystal.

BRUNO
Thomas?

Thomas looks intently into the crystal. We see the crystal glowing.

THOMAS
They’re coming. Jakith with an army of mutants. They’ll
be here in a few hours.

Bruno and the Druid look afraid. Thomas slowly looks up from the crystal.

THOMAS
They’re being led by Adrayen himself.

There is a pause and all look shocked.

DRUID
We gotta go!

THOMAS
Where? They’ll find us sooner or later.

BRUNO
What now?

Thomas looks at Terra. There is another moment of silence.

THOMAS
I have no choice but to stand and fight.

TRAE
Are you insane?!  You?  Against an entire army?!

THOMAS
This is something I have to do.

TERRA
(Worried)
Thomas…

THOMAS
Adrayen won’t be looking for any of you. It’s me they want. Go
now! While you have the chance.

Thomas turns and walks back to the cabin. The others glance nervously at each other.

134.EXT. FOREST – DAY

We see the Druid nervously packing his bags and drinking from a bottle of liquor as he prepares to leave.
He walks a few paces and then stops, with a guilty look on his face.  He then looks at the bottle of whiskey
one last time and drops it. The Druid glances around to make certain no one is watching him, and then
kneels, and begins to pray. Afterwards, he stands back up, and starts to walk back in the direction of the
cabin.

135.EXT. ROCK – DAY

We see Trae sitting on the rock with his head in his hands. He raises his head, and stares off into the
distance. He is panting and sweating profusely, and looks ill.

136.EXT. LAKE - DAY

We see Bruno standing by a lake, skipping rocks across its surface.

137.INT. CABIN – DAY

We see Thomas strap on his knife, and sheathe his sword. He puts on his over cloak. Terra approaches
him. Thomas keeps his back to Terra.

TERRA
Thomas.

THOMAS
Don’t try to talk me out of this.

TERRA
Adrayen’s taken everyone I’ve loved. My mother, my father,
and most of my friends. I don’t want to lose you too.

Thomas sighs, and turns around.

THOMAS
Lobo saw Kaylor’s prophecy. He said that I was the guardian
to turn the tide of the war in it’s darkest hour. I have to trust him.

TERRA
Then, I’m not leaving you.

THOMAS
Terra…

TERRA
(Smiles)
Don’t try to talk me out of this.

The two hug.

138.EXT. CABIN – DAY

Thomas and Terra exit the cabin holding hands. Standing to greet them is Bruno, the Druid and a sick
looking Trae. Thomas looks surprised.

THOMAS
I thought I told you to leave.

DRUID
You never left us.

BRUNO
We got your back, man!

TRAE
(fatigued)
You’re either really brave, or really stupid, mate. Let’s
find out, huh?

Thomas and Terra smile. We see the party walk into the forest.

139.EXT. VISIDRA PLAIN – DAY

We see the party standing in a line staring ahead. We see several shots of the mutant army. At the
forefront of their ranks is Jakith. We see Thomas inhale. Bruno exchanges a nervous glance with the
Druid. We see a large armored man walking to the forefront of the mutant army.

CLOSE UP – ARMORED MAN’S FACE

CLOSE UP – THOMAS’S EYES

THOMAS
Adrayen…

Terra and Trae glance at Thomas, and then at the large armored figure. Behind the armored figure, we
see four mutants carrying a pedestal with a strange crystal ball on top. Surrounding the crystal ball are
seven of the Crystals of Destiny. We see Thomas staring at the strange crystal ball. We see one of the
mutants trip, and another place a hand on the crystal ball to steady it. We see the mutant convulse, and
shake as the crystal ball electrocutes him. The mutant collapses, and we see his smoldering corpse lying
on the battle field. Another mutant quickly takes his place, and the four set the pedestal on the ground. We
see the party look nervous as they stare at the enemy army. Bruno turns to Thomas.

BRUNO
We’re all going to die, aren’t we?

Thomas smiles, and pats Bruno on the shoulder and then turns to face the entire group. We see one of
the mutants draw its sword. Jakith raises his hand.

JAKITH
Wait.
Thomas stands facing the party.

THOMAS
This very well may be the end. But whatever happens,
we stand or fall together!

The party clasps hands. Thomas breaks hands with the party, and then turns around to face the enemy
army, and draws his sword. Thomas raises his sword, and points at Adrayen. We hear the mutants
laughing.

JAKITH
(Scoffing)
You’ve got to be kidding me.

Jakith draws his own sword, and points it at Thomas and the party.

THOMAS
Ready!

We see the party raise their weapons.

JAKITH
Weapons!

We see the mutants raise their weapons. Thomas gets ready to charge.

THOMAS
We charge on three! One!...Two!...

Suddenly we hear a loud, triumphant mumble in the distance. Thomas stops counting, and turns to look at
something in the distance. The party does the same. Jakith looks surprised, lowers his sword, and stares
off into the distance. Cresting a hill we see the Green Dude standing alone, wearing a crown. After a
moment, several of his people crest the hill behind him.

JAKITH
What is this?!

Thomas smiles in surprise. He excitedly glances at the others.

DRUID
It’s Green! Woo!

GREEN DUDE
(Commanding mumble)

We see the Green Dude charge down the hill, followed by his people. Thomas again raises his sword.

THOMAS
Charge!

We see Thomas and his party charging from one direction, and the Green Dude and his people charging
from another. Jakith and the mutants look confused. Jakith raises his sword.

JAKITH
Go! Go!

We see the three groups meet in melee.  We see Thomas, Bruno, Terra, Druid, and Trae fighting and
killing mutants. Trae’s condition is clearly worsening. The Green Dude and his people don’t kill any
mutants, but knock them around, and hold them off. After killing a mutant, Thomas looks across the enemy
lines, and makes eye contact with Adrayen. Thomas begins plowing through mutants. Adrayen begins to
approach Thomas, and the two meet in single combat.  We witness Adrayen’s superior strength as he
knocks Thomas around.  Trae engages Jakith in single combat. Jakith notices Trae is close to changing.

JAKITH
It won’t be long now. Trae. Soon your transformation will
be complete, and you will belong to me!

TRAE
(voice beginning to turn monstrous)
I’ve lasted longer than any of your other victims! One way
or another, my curse ends here!

Trae attacks Jakith with a renewed fury, and they continue to fight. Jakith knocks Trae back. Trae
collapses and  convulses and growls as he finishes transforming into his mutant form. He springs up and
starts attacking Jakith and all other mutants in his general vicinity. We see Thomas desperately battling
Adrayen, but is losing the fight. Adrayen knocks Thomas sword out of his hands with such force that it
throws Thomas to the ground. Adrayen leans over and grabs Thomas by the throat. He lifts Thomas from
the ground by his neck. Thomas struggles in vain against Adrayen’s grip. Suddenly Adrayen stumbles
forward, and releases Thomas, who falls to the ground. We see Bruno remove his battle axe from Adrayen’
s back.

BRUNO
LEAVE HIM ALONE!

THOMAS
(Gasping)
Bruno!

Bruno stands between Adrayen and Thomas. Adrayen rises and turns towards the two. Thomas quickly
recovers his sword, and stands next to Bruno.

THOMAS
Let’s take him together!

Bruno nods, and the two engage Adrayen who fights with a new ferocity. We see Trae desperately fighting
Jakith, who controls their battle. Trae surprises Jakith by delivering a serious wound. Jakith howls in rage
and the two continue fighting. We continue to see the Green Dude and his people, Terra, and the Druid
fight mutants. Thomas and Bruno vigorously attack Adrayen. Bruno hacks Adrayen’s right leg, causing him
to fall to one knee. Thomas takes the opportunity to impale Adrayen through the head. Thomas removes
his sword, and Adrayen crumples to the ground. Thomas and Bruno looks relieved.

BRUNO
We did it!

Thomas glances around at the mutants, and then again at the body of Adrayen.

THOMAS
Something’s wrong.

Suddenly we see a red ball of light rise from Adrayen’s chest, and raise into the air.

BRUNO
What’s that?!

The light briefly hovers, and then descends and enters into the body of a mutant. The mutant turns from
battling one of the Green Dude’s people, and attacks Thomas and Bruno with greater strength. Thomas
and Bruno battle Adrayen and kill his mutant host. Quickly the ball of red light escapes the corpse of the
mutant and enters another host, who attacks Thomas and Bruno.

BRUNO
What’s going on?

THOMAS
(Panicked)
He’s moving from host to host! I don’t know how to kill him!

Jakith and Trae furiously battle. Trae viciously wounds Jakith several times. In a rage, Jakith unleashes a
fury of strikes that seriously wound Trae and knock him to the ground. Jakith watches Trae growl and
writhe in pain.

JAKITH
You’re a pitiful creature, Trae. Not quite a mutant, not
exactly human. Maybe it is better that I put you out of
your misery.

Jakith begins to approach Trae with his weapon raised. Suddenly we hear an arrow launch and see it land
in Jakith’s back. Jakith stops, and turns around. We see Terra standing several feet away, holding an
empty bow. Jakith reaches behind to his back, and breaks the shaft of the arrow out of his back. He grins,
and begins walking toward Terra. Terra looks nervous and draws another arrow. She fires it into Jakith’s
chest. He pauses, and winces, and then continues almost unaffected. Terra begins to panic and draws
another arrow and fires it with the same result.  Jakith charges Terra, who drops her bow and draws her
swords just in time to block Jakith’s attack. They begin to battle.
Bruno and Thomas kill another Adrayen host body, and we see the red ball of light quickly fly into the sky
and out of view. Thomas and Bruno stand back to back. Thomas anxiously glances around.
THOMAS
(Panting)
Where’d he go?!

We see Bruno roll back his eyes, and drop his head. Thomas continues to look around. We see Bruno
raise his head. He opens his eyes, and we see that they are monstrous. Bruno suddenly spins around and
hits Thomas in the face with his free hand. Thomas is knocked to the ground, and we see that Adrayen
has given Bruno super human strength. Thomas shakes off the hit, and scrambles to his feet.

THOMAS
No! Please no!

Bruno approaches Thomas.

BRUNO/ADRAYEN
You had your chance, Guardian. Now you’ll pay the ultimate
price! Destroy this body, and your friend dies!

Thomas looks pained. Adrayen swings his axe at Thomas, who blocks Adrayen’s strikes, but does little to
fight back. Jakith and Terra furiously fight. Terra knocks Jakith’s weapon out of his hand. Jakith is stunned
with surprise. Suddenly Terra stabs Jakith in the chest. Jakith looks shocked.

TERRA
(Angry)
You killed my mother!

Terra buries her second sword into Jakith’s chest.

TERRA
…..and my father!

Terra pulls both swords out of Jakith’s chest. Jakith falls to his knees, looking up at Terra.

TERRA
You’ve taken everything from me!

Terra deals a death blow to Jakith, who collapses. Terra stands above his body. Thomas continues to
defend against Bruno’s increasingly furious attacks. He looks beaten both in body and in spirit.

BRUNO/ADRAYEN
You’re a sentimental fool! It will be your undoing!

Bruno knocks Thomas to the ground, causing him to lose his sword. Thomas turns, and rises up on his
hands and knees. He stares across the battle field, and sees the crystal ball on the pedestal.

CLOSE UP: CRYSTAL BALL

LOBO (V.O.)
You must be willing to sacrifice everything. That is
the only way you will be able to defeat Adrayen.

Thomas glances back at Bruno who is approaching him. Thomas looks back at the crystal, and then
scrambles to his feet, and makes a mad dash toward the crystal ball. Bruno looks panicked.

BRUNO/ADRAYEN
Stop him! Kill him!

We see several mutants begin to chase Thomas. Thomas at last reaches the pedestal. He looks at the
crystal ball, hesitates a moment, and then grabs it with both hands. We see him convulse and shake in
pain as the crystal ball electrocutes him. In great pain, Thomas hurls the crystal at the rocky ground. We
see a flash of light as the crystal ball shatters. We hear a strange and ghastly scream, and the ball of red
light leaves Bruno and disappears. Bruno’s eyes roll back and he collapses. Terra, Trae, the Druid, and
the Green Dude watch as the mutants begin to collapse, and die.

DRUID
They’re dying!

TERRA
They must’ve been bound to Adrayen’s life force!

DRUID
We won! Woo!

GREEN DUDE
(Victorious mumble)

We see the rest of the Green Dude’s people bounce up and down excitedly.

GREEN DUDE’S PEOPLE
(Cheering mumble)

The Druid points at the corpse of a mutant.

DRUID
In your face!

The Druid kicks the dead mutant, and then flexes victoriously.

TERRA
(Worried)
Where’s Thomas?!

Terra rushes away from the group. We see Bruno slowly stand. He rubs his head in pain. Terra rushes
over to him.

BRUNO
My head hurts.

TERRA
Bruno, where’s Thomas?!

Bruno shrugs. Suddenly Terra spots Thomas lying on the ground several feet away.

TERRA
No…

Terra runs over to where Thomas lies, followed by Bruno. Terra kneels next to Thomas. We see that his
body is smoldering. Terra leans her head over Thomas’s face, and listens. Druid and the Green Dude
approach and surround Thomas’s body. Terra lifts her head, and looks panicked.

TERRA
(Crying)
He’s not breathing!

Terra leans her head on Thomas’s chest, and weeps. We see the others looking shocked.

140.EXT. BEAUTIFUL GARDEN

We see Thomas standing in the garden, dressed in white, and holding all eight Crystals of Destiny. Lobo
approaches him.

LOBO
(Smiles)
Well done, Thomas. Kaylor’s Prophecy is fulfilled.

Thomas looks at the eight Crystals of Destiny.

LOBO
The power of the crystals is now yours. What will you do with it?

THOMAS
These have caused a lot of misery and death. I don’t want them.

We see the Crystals of Destiny disappear. Lobo again smiles.

LOBO
The Crystals of Destiny are now beyond mortal reach. Never
again will anyone be able to abuse their power.

THOMAS
What now?

LOBO
You have a choice.

We see two doors.

LOBO (V.O.)
There is a place for you amongst the Guardians of
ages past. A hero’s welcome awaits you.

We see Thomas looking thoughtful.

LOBO
Or you can return, and live out your days in peace.
